A lovely view from Bobbio, in the Appennino Piacentino. The town was founded in 614 by St. Columban and his following after being given the territory by the Lombard king Agilulf's wife, Theodelinda. Nowadays, besides St. Columban's abbey, the city also hosts the Collezione Mazzolini, a collection of modern and contemporary art (de Chirico, Fontana, Manzoni...).
